Positive Behavior Intervention and Support
Voorhis School is a PBIS school. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports and it is a method that allows our school to create a predictable system of rules and procedures that provides structure for all students. The goal of PBIS at Voorhis is to ensure each student:
- develops social skills
- prevents behavior problems,
- stays academically engaged,
- displays positive behavior,
- reaches academic success.
